Remember last week’s report that a “300” prequel is in development from interviews coming out of the 34th Saturn Awards? This morning Variety is confirming news that probably won’t surprise anyone. “300″, the graphic novel adaptation that cost virtually nothing to make but grossed over $200 million last spring, is getting a sequel….probably.

I stumbled upon this report this morning - or rather Timothy Hurst’s summary of it on “Red Green and Blue” The key assumptions are that non OECD growth continues at a rapid pace and that there is no effective international agreement to limit greenhouse gas emissions. We’re still looking for a rental with more solar gain and a better woodstove. I like heating with wood, athough it won’t do for the studio my wife needs for her glossy-black baby grand piano. In the long run, I think we’ll have to buy some land and build a couple of straw-bale “huts” for living and studio space, but for that I’ll wait until we know what our money’s going to be worth after, um… after… well, who knows?
